Corfe Castle Herb Garden

Home Projects

We contributed money towards the creation of a herb garden at Corfe Castle. This is part of the Castle View visitor centre. For people not familiar with the area the visitor centre is situated below the castle, on the A351 Wareham to Swanage road. There is a car park, and the visitor centre contains information about the history of the castle, as well as current information.
The picture's not great - I'll try to get a better one at a different time of day - also I was trying to include the castle which was probably a mistake.

Education staff use the herbs to show children how they were used for things other than cooking. for example children can try mixing them with a mortar and pestle for use in potions etc.

Volunteers have added to the original planting.
